How To: Use the Calendar Tool

The Calendar Tool allows you to view several months on a calendar at once and determine the number of days within a selection.

 

In SPEDfisc, select the "Tools" Tab and click "Calendar Tool"

 

 

Using the Calendar Tool

  1. Vendor - Select a Vendor to apply excluded dates to your selection within the calendar
  2. Include Weekends - Check this option if you want days to be calculated including weekends
  3. Include Excluded Dates - Check this option if you want days to be calculated including excluded dates
  4. Days In Range - The total number of days selected within the calendar
  5. Weekdays In Range - The total number of weekdays selected within the calendar (Monday - Friday)
  6. Weekend Days In Range - The total number of weekend days selected within the calendar (Saturday - Sunday)
  7. Excluded Days In Range - The total number of excluded dates selected within the calendar (Based on the excluded dates provided by the Vendor field)
  8. Applied Days In Range - The total number of days (Monday - Friday) that are not excluded unless the Include Excluded Dates option is selected and the number of weekend days (Saturday - Sunday) if the Include Weekends option is selected
  9. Quick Date Selector - Click this option to quickly select dates by month, year, or decade (each click zooms out to a larger date range)
  10. Month Selector - Click the up or down arrows to navigate forward or backwards through months, years, decades
  11. Calendar - Select dates to calculate the number of days in the selected range

 

 

Calendar Selection

The Calendar lets you make one or more date selections. Here are a couple of methods for selecting dates:

 

Click & Drag

Click on the first date and drag your mouse over another date to create a range

 

Shift + Click

Click on the first date to select it in the Calendar. Hold down shift and click on another date and all days in between will be selected

 

Control + Click

Click on a date to select it in the Calendar. Hold down Control (Ctrl) on your keyboard and click another date to select just those dates. Combine Control + Click with Click and Drag
