Submission windows, also known as pay periods, are part of a submission schedule. These are the dates which must be specified as part of a submission and they have some rules tied to them.

1. If a submission is related to a timesheet, the hours on the timesheet must fall within the start on and end on of the selected submission window.
2. If a submission is related to a timesheet, the hours on the timesheet must not be in the future.
3. A submission may only be submitted for approval if the submission window does not have restricted submission dates or the current date is between the restricted submission dates.
4. A submission that is being created as part of a previous submission window may be submitted if there is a current submission window that is unrestricted or the current date is between the restricted submission dates.
